Meeting Arena Sprint - 2ème journée

Aujourd'hui se déroulait la 2ème et dernière journée du meeting Arena de Rouen où Fabien a une nouvelle fois brillé par ses performances. Ce meeting a une saveur un peu particulière pour Fabien puisque c'est ici, à Rouen, que Fab' nageait avant de partir à Marseille.

Matin(series)
50 pap : Fab' est arrivé 1er de sa série et 4ème en général avec un chrono de 25:31.
100 NL : 1er de sa série et 2ème en général derrière Grégory Mallet avec un temps de 50:07.
4x50 4 nages : Le relais marseillais est arrivé 1er de sa série mais 5ème au classement général avec un temps de 1:48:42.

Après midi(finales)
50 pap : Fab' termine 3ème de cette finale, derrière Fred Bousquet(qui au passage bat le record du meeting) et Antoine Galavtine, avec un chrono de 24:52.
100 NL : 3ème record du meeting!!!! En remportant cette finale en 48:01, Fabien bat un nouveau record du meeting. Le précédent était détenu par Salim Iles depuis novembre 2002 avec un chrono de 48:34.
4x50 4 nages : Après une course au coude à coude avec le Lagardère Paris Racing, le CN Marseille termine 2ème en 1:40:21.





Voilà, le meeting est terminé. Fabien quitte la Haute Normandie pour reprendre la direction de Marseille. Pour une reprise, ce meeting nous a offert de belles performances de la part de Fabien (3 records du meeting) même si Fabien ne fut pas tout à fait satisfait :"La manière ne m'a pas plu. Ce n'est pas suffisament à mon goût, je ne peux pas en tirer de leçon. Le 50m était pas mal mais j'ai un sentiment mitigé"(L'équipe du 27/10/08).

Today took place the 2nd and last day of the meeting Arena of Rouen where Fabien again shone with his performances. This meeting has a little bit particular flavour for Fabien because it is here, in Rouen, that Fab ' swam before leaving to Marseille.

In the morning ( series )

50 butterfly: Fab ' arrived 1st of its series and 4th generally with a stopwatch of 25:31.
100 freestyle: 1st of his series and 2nd generally behind Gregory Mallet with a time of 50:07.
4x50 medley men: the Marseille's relay arrived 1st of its series but 5th to the general classification with a time of 1:48:42.

After noon (finales)

50 butterfly: Fab ' finishes 3rd of this finale, behind Fred Bousquet (who in the passage beats the record of the meeting and the French record) and Antoine Galavtine, with a stopwatch of 24:52.
100 freestyle: 3rd record of the meeting!!!! By taking away this finale in 48:01, Fabien beats a new record of the meeting. The precedent was held by Salim Iles since November 2002 with a stopwatch of 48:34.
4x50 4 medley: after a race side by side with Lagardère Paris Racing, the CN Marseille finishes 2nd in 1:40:21.




Here is, the meeting is finishes. Fabien leaves the Haute-Normandie to take back the direction of Marseille. For a resumption, this meeting offered to us beautiful performances on behalf of Fabien (3 records of the meeting) even if Fabien wasn't completely satisfied: " The way didn't please me. It isn't suffisament in my taste, I can't draw it of lesson. The 50 freestyle wasn't bad but I have a mitigated feeling " (Daily "L'équipe" of 27/10/08).
